Dress Up With Geoff Awards Season 2015

We are smack dab in the middle of awards season and I couldn’t be more excited to talk red carpet trends and predictions for truly inspiring moments at the big (O) night that’s still to come!  We’ve already seen a wide range of looks walk down the carpet this year and some big risks were taken resulting in epic fails and stunning wins. Here are some of lom’s favourite trends of the season that we’d love to see more of, both in Hollywood and right here at home!

BEAD it!
Fashion mavens know that some things never go out of style. Beautiful embellishments and intricate beading for a special occasion definitely fit that category. We saw this trend worn beautifully by a lavender-locked <wig alert!> Katy Perry in Zuhair Murad at the Grammys and Oscar buzz boy Eddie Redmayne’s beautiful bride Hannah Bagshawe wearing Valentino to the BAFTAs.

Our very own @geoyoncé <wig alert!> interprets this timeless trend in a vintage beaded cocktail dress and Burberry emerald strappy sandals.

Think PINK!

The ladies who were feeling pretty in pink sure made a refreshing splash on the carpet this year. Some standouts include the Grammy seat-hog (3 in total) Rihanna in fanci-FULL Giambattista Valli and this years’ Globes carpet skipper, Gwyneth Paltrow, sleek and sexy in Michael Kors.

@geoyoncé embraces his inner princess in a flouncy 60’s pleated dress paired with metallic Christian Louboutins and an lom custom fur clutch.

Faster, Pussycat! SLAY! SLAY!

A few daring divas decided to borrow from the boys this year and strut the carpet in pants, structured jumpsuits and corsetted catsuits. Meow!  Memorable mentions are Cabaret cutie, Emma Stone in Lanvin on her night off from Broadway at the Globes and The Voice vixen, Gwen Stefani, much more than Just A Girl in Atalier Versace on the Grammys red carpet.

@geoyoncé is feeling frisky in this awesome ’80s studded jumpsuit, Loren Hope bracelet and Helmut Lang pumps.

We can’t wait to see what the fashion Gods give us on Oscar night. Till then, remember to make your own red carpet moments happen whenever/wherever inspiration hits and keep us posted with pics! #dressupwithgeoff
